Radiant Healthcare is a leading distributor of advanced aesthetic devices proven to deliver transformative results for patients with scars and stretch marks. Their cutting-edge, CE medical-registered technologies provide safe, effective treatments to improve these common skin conditions significantly. With a comprehensive range from top global manufacturers, Radiant Healthcare offers your clinic the latest innovations in fractional laser and radiofrequency therapy. Treatments stimulate new collagen production, dermal remodelling and tissue tightening to dramatically smooth and retexture scarred or stretched skin.
In the Candela stable, there is the Frax 1550, which is available on both the Frax Pro as well as the Nordlys multi-platform system
The Frax 1550 indications are as follows:
- Skin Resurfacing procedures
- Treatment of Striae
- Treatment of acne scars as well as surgical scars
The Frax 1550 is a non-ablative Fractional laser where water is the primary chromophore, which allows for gentle bulk heating of the tissue.
Due to the fact that the Frax 1550 is non-ablative, it does not remove layers of the skin surface; instead, the Frax 1550 by Candela creates Microthermal zones, better known as MTZs.
The Frax 1550 is used for deeper skin resurfacing treatments that target the superficial papillary dermis to the mid dermis.
- There is very minimal downtime
- One does need to apply a topical anaesthetic on the skin before the treatment
- The 1550 is NOT suitable for all skin types
In the GSD range, there is the Dermatrix Duo
The Dermatrix Duo by GSD makes use of Radio Frequency technology. Radio Frequency is colour-blind and, therefore, not dependent on a chromophore, which allows this unit to be used on all Fitzpatrick skin types.
The Dermatrix Duo consists of two applicators namely:
- Microneeling combined with Radio Frequency
- Fractionated Radio Frequency applicator.
The Dermatrix Duo indications are as follows:
- Skin Resurfacing
- Treatment of Striae
- Treatment of Acne scars as well as surgical scars
- Wrinkle reduction as well as skin tightening
The working principle of the Dermatrix Duo is that the Radio Frequency gets emitted on both applicators which creates coagulation zones. These Microthermal zones, therefore, accelerate collagen renewal as well as skin tissue remodelling.
Endymed has 2 multi-platform systems in their professional line, namely the Endymed Pro and the Endymed Pure
The technology on the Endymed range is 3Deep Radio Frequency. Due to the fact that Radio Frequency is colour-blind and not dependent on a chromophore allows this system to be used on all skin types. There are a variety of applicators available on the Professional line; however, there are specific applicators indicated for Striae & Stretchmarks along with other clinical indications, and this falls under the Fractional handpieces, namely the Intensif, which is Microneedling combined with Radio Frequency and the FSR applicator, which is Fractionated Skin Resurfacing.
The 3Deep Radio Frequency by Endymed targets the dermis skin layer, delivering focused and controlled energy directly to the dermis to activate new collagen production.
The 3Deep technology has 6 phase-controlled radio frequency generators, which makes the type of Radio Frequency in the Endymed range very unique.
- The Intensif applicator is a Fractional array of non-insulated Radio Frequeny based microneedling technology.
- The Intensif applicator uses non-insulated needles, which allows for a high volume of dermal heating and, therefore, reaches the papillary dermis. Due to the type of needles Endymed uses, there is no pinpoint bleeding during the treatment.
- The FSR applicator is Fractional array of multiple Radio Frequency based electrodes-pins technology.
- The FSR applicator makes use of a very unique scanning feature on the Endymed range where each sub pulse works on one column at a time and 1 column get one polarity and 5 others the opposite polarity which creates ablation and therefore volumetric heating.
- On the FSR (Fractional Skin Resurfacing) and the Intensif applicator (microneedling RF) one does require topical anaesthetic before the treatment.
- On the FSR there is minimal downtime that can last anything from 4 – 14 days.
For all of the above equipment, a course of treatments is needed. A course can consist of anything between 3 – and 5 treatments, depending on the severity of the indication.
