Winter is an ideal time to focus on rejuvenating your skin and addressing aesthetic concerns. Sandton Aesthetic Institute offers a range of treatments designed to enhance your natural beauty and protect your skin from winter’s harsh elements.
During winter, environmental factors like dry, windy, and cold weather can disturb the skin barrier. Indoor heating and hot water can further dehydrate the skin, making it essential to adopt a protective skincare routine.
Deep-hydration facials
The Mesoglow Facial, featuring the non-invasive Mesopen, delivers a skin-boosting serum deep within the skin layers, followed by a 3D hydrating mask. This treatment ensures balanced, hydrated, and rejuvenated skin, suitable for the face, neck, and décolletage.
Chemical peels
Chemical peels are effective for removing dead skin cells, unclogging pores, and boosting collagen production. They address fine lines, wrinkles, and dermal dullness, revealing a smoother, healthier skin surface. Suitable for the face, neck, and décolletage, these peels range from gentle to intense and are customised for your skin type.
Laser treatments
Laser treatments, particularly effective during winter due to lower UV exposure, can reverse photodamage and reduce sunspots or age spots, melasma, and hyperpigmentation. Sandton Aesthetic Institute uses advanced laser technology to target excess melanin deposits, improving the appearance of sunspots, freckles, and more.
Additionally, laser treatments are available for hair removal, tattoo removal, and spider veins.
Microneedling
The Dermapen microneedling treatment stimulates collagen production through controlled micro-injuries. Dermapen has a transformative resurfacing effect on the skin’s surface and treats mild skin laxity, scarring, enlarged pores, unwanted visible ageing, and more. Dermapen application goes beyond facial and neck skin. It is used successfully in other areas of the body, especially those prone to showcasing stretch marks, such as the thighs and abdomen.
Skincare at home
Show your skin some extra love during winter with targeted care that combats the harsh elements. Small changes can significantly impact your skin’s health amid seasonal stressors. And, of course, protect your skin: despite darker, shorter days, UV damage remains a threat. Experts unanimously warn against neglecting sun protection in winter. Daily use of a quality sunscreen can prevent photodamage.
Healthy skin from the inside out
Rejuvenate your skin from within with Sandton Aesthetic Institute’s holistic approach, ensuring your skin stays healthy throughout winter.
To maintain a healthy skin matrix and retain moisture, it’s crucial to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water. Opt for caffeine-free herbal teas to avoid the diuretic effects of caffeine while enjoying a hot beverage. If you notice signs of dehydration, consider a restorative IV vitamin infusion treatment. This relaxing therapy helps achieve optimal hydration for your body’s best physiological function.
