For aesthetic doctors looking to sharpen their knowledge of facial anatomy and refine their injection techniques, the HeyEd Academy’s upcoming Facial Anatomy & Dissection Course offers an exceptional learning experience.
Facilitated by the accomplished Dr Izolda Heydenrych and Professor Hamzah Mustak, this course brings together anatomical science and hands-on practice, making it ideal for those who work with injectables and want to ensure they’re injecting safely and effectively.
Course Highlights
Scheduled for 30 November and 01 December 2024 at the Sunskill Lab, University of Stellenbosch Medical Campus in Parow, Cape Town, the course is specifically designed for physicians performing injectable procedures.
With a detailed look into each facial area, including the chin, jawline, lips, midface, forehead, temple, periocular region, and vascular dissection, participants will gain a nuanced understanding of the intricate anatomy involved in aesthetic injections.
Why This Course Stands Out
Hands-On Cadaver Dissection
Participants will benefit from a unique hands-on approach, with the opportunity to dissect and explore facial structures on one hemiface. This experience allows delegates to see the “under the skin” anatomy that dictates the success and safety of their injection techniques.
Guided by Experts
With years of experience in aesthetic medicine and anatomy, Dr Heydenrych and Professor Mustak bring valuable insights from their clinical backgrounds. Dr Heydenrych, a distinguished expert in dermatology and aesthetic medicine, runs the HeyEd Academy as a hub for advanced medical education. Professor Mustak, a Consultant Ophthalmologist specialising in ocular oncology and oculoplastics at Groote Schuur Hospital, adds depth with his extensive experience in orbital and periocular surgery.
Specialist Support and Resources
The course features a dedicated table head for each facial area, allowing delegates to explore the distinct characteristics of various facial structures. Comprehensive reference manuals are also provided to ensure attendees have resources to review long after the course concludes.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Points
With 14 CPD points and 2 ethical points awarded, this course not only enhances practical knowledge but also contributes to participants’ professional development.
