If you’re passionate about skincare, you must know how important it is to have a favourite and effective serum in your product collection. Most serums have a light, thin consistency, so the rule of thumb is to apply straight after you’ve cleansed and then layer on your other product of choice. Because it goes onto the skin first, your serum should be packed with ingredients that are active and beneficial to the healthy functioning of your skin.
A French Affair
Now, if you are partial to all things French, then you must have come across the iconic brand NUXE, which is completely inspired by nature and all things botanical. If that speaks to you, read on!
I have been using the celebrated NUXE Huile Prodigieuse for several years. Quite frankly, it’s a product I cannot do without. The same goes for NUXE Rêve De Miel lip balm.
So, when I was gifted the NUXE Super Serum 10, I had a feeling it was going to be another winner. This serum is described as “The Universal Anti-Ageing Concentrate”, so it’s perfectly suited for all skin types.
Where Botanicals Meet Science
NUXE’s expertise lies in using botanical oils, which are contained in tiny spheres within the serum. If you have oily skin, you needn’t worry – there’s no oily residue, as the formula just melts into your skin. The microspheres are packed with fatty acids that optimise the penetration of the ingredients, which are natural hyaluronic acid, niacinamide for brightening, repairing sun damage and soothing inflammation, as well as native cells of edelweiss, a plant known for its rejuvenating properties.
Et voilà! You have a plumping, brightening, anti-ageing, multi-tasking serum.
A Superlative Offering
The packaging is lovely – there’s no mess and no fuss (it’s also 100% recyclable). A pipette dispenses the formula, and you only need half of it to cover your face and neck. The little beads release their content when you apply the serum, and the skin is instantly hydrated, feeling soft and smooth. If, like me, you use a retinol product, it’s absolutely fine to apply it on top of this serum.
And last but certainly not least, the fragrance is sublime. I personally love a product with a fresh, botanical aroma, and NUXE never disappoints in this regard. It just adds a touch of luxury to your ritual of self-care.
Highly recommended!
