First, I want to start off with how happy I am with my skin.
Could it be because I’m pregnant? Or that I’ve found a new line of products – the Isispharma Ruboril range – to tame my rosacea? Perhaps it’s a bit of both. Either way, I haven’t fully resorted to covering up my skin with make-up (that’s only for special occasions) my skin’s never looked better.

My thoughts on the Isispharma Ruboril range
I’m fussy when it comes to cleansers, but I’m thrilled to report that the Ruboril Cleansing Balm has all the qualities of a perfect cleanser. I just wish it came in a bigger size! Once mixed with water, the cleanser melts into a milky liquid that covers the skin adequately (I suggest squeezing the size of a R1 coin onto your fingertips). After rinsing, there were zero burns or sensitivity – just fresh, happy, smooth-feeling skin. It removed every trace of the day’s make-up and sunscreen, and it’s super gentle on the eyes. It’s pure magic. I’m due for a repurchase! (R185 for 40 ml)
I reached for my tube of Ruboril METRORUBORIL A.Z. whenever my skin felt more red and irritated than normal. I loved the thick texture of this cream because, with each application, I felt like I was instantly repairing my skin barrier. It contains B-CALM®, a patented active ingredient to reduce severe redness and improve skin microcirculation. The cream hits your skin with a cooling, soothing effect upon application. (R410 for 30 ml)
The Ruboril Expert S Moisturiser was my go-to for the sweltering hot days over the holidays. It’s a lot more lightweight than the Ruboril METRORUBORIL A.Z. and works fantastically as a priming base for foundation. If you’re experiencing sensitivity as well as dryness, give this one a try. (R425 for 40 ml)
Those with rosacea love a tinted moisturiser, especially one with SPF. The Ruboril Expert SPF 50+ has a buildable texture and applies easily with your fingers or foundation brush. I would’ve preferred a more dewy finish, as opposed to the mattifying one this tint provides, but it did a fantastic job covering any hints of redness and evening my skin tone. The colour of this tinted moisturiser was dark at first, but I managed to create my perfect shade by mixing it with a lighter SPF or foundation. (R425 for 40 ml)

My verdict
Among the most frequently asked questions in my DMs are which current products I’m using to help with my rosacea. The Ruboril Sensitive Skin Range has gone straight to the top of my recommendation pile. I love the price point, the products work quickly and effectively, and they’re pregnancy-safe. On most days, I forget I have redness. Truly!
