Controlled Depth Peel Review by Jackie Stopford
Before embarking on the peel, Jackie strictly adhered to the skin prep protocol for a few weeks prior to the peel. As a medical procedure performed by a doctor, it is vital for patients to stick to all instructions in prepping the skin prior to having the peel done. Follow Jackie’s photographical journey of the peel below…

All prepped and ready for our Controlled Depth Peel.

Controlled Depth Peel all done. The ZO Skin Health Team is all good. Can’t smile as we are all very tight.

Day 2 #CONTROLLEDDEPTHPEEL UPDATE. Skin is feeling tight and you can see the edema under my eyes. There is no pain at all and as you can see most of the blue is gone. Using the #ZOPOSTPROCEDUREKIT IS FANTASTIC, I would highly recommend it to all patients doing ablative procedures and deep peels.

Day 3 #CONTROLLEDDEPTHPEEL UPDATE. Skin is feeling very tight. Eyes seem more swollen today so taking anti-inflammatories. My lips have started peeling so the pomatrol is a life saver. My skin started oozing a little bit the surfatrol definitely helps with that. Been washing morning and evening with Normacleanse… OMW I’m in Love with that product. Still no pain so the only discomfort is the swelling. Definitely an easy treatment to manage. Pigment is starting to surface. #ZOEXCITED FOR THE RESULTS

Can’t believe it’s DAY 4 already of my #CONTROLLEDDEPTHPEEL UPDATE. Eyes are still swollen, and I’m really starting to look like a crinkle cut. Think I will start peeling today. My lips started peeling yesterday and my pigmentation has gone very dark, which means it’s lifting YAY. Precision Aesthetics – Dr. Vernon Ching went deeper on my pigmentation, actinic keratosis and acne scarring. He went down to Immediate Reticular Dermis. The rest of my face he went down to Papillary Dermis. Results are going to be #ZOAMAZING.

Ok #ZOADDICTS WE ARE ON DAY 5 ALREADY, of my #CONTROLLEDDEPTHPEEL BY #ZOSKINHEALTHSA. Only 5 days to go. I started peeling yesterday afternoon. My eyes are still tight and the new fresh skin is a little sensitive. My peeling skin is so thick it feels like scales. I am now on Surfatrol and Revitatrol only, and it really helps that dry and sensitive skin, the Revitatrol is an awesome texture, not thick and pasty at all, so it is very easy to apply on my tight and slightly sensitive skin. Still too tight to show any facial Expressions but DrNeetu Moodliar I am smiling inside. We are taking daily Visia scans, as soon as it is completed I will upload those photos, showing my skin before the VERY IMPORTANT 12 WEEK PREP, the day of the procedure and the 10 days during my experience. #ZOAWESOME #ZOEXCITED

Day 6 of my #CONTROLLEDDEPTHPEEL update. We are in the home stretch. My Right eye is still a bit swollen which is making me feel like Quasimodo. The tightness and dryness gets a bit much at times, thank goodness for my Surfatrol and Revitatrol. I am peeling all over, as I peel I snip it, you don’t want to pull it off as you will get PIH (post procedure hyperpigmentation). The new skin is SOOO SOFT AND SMOOTH especially compared to the dry scales I am shedding.

Day 6 Updated Photos of #CONTROLLEDDEPTHPEEL

Day 7 of my #CONTROLLEDDEPTHPEEL UPDATE. I am feeling a little more human. A lot of the dry dead skin came off yesterday. I have noticed secondary peeling around my mouth . What’s been even more interesting is that I was told that once my skin peels , I may identify underlying concerns that were not visible when my skin was dull, tired, dirty and weak. OMW Zanoli Kozlowskii you were right. Years of breakouts and the “OBVIOUS ” Squeezing of those breakouts has left broken capillaries on my chin and cheeks. It’s so amazing to see what was hidden, and knowing how easy they are to treat, I am not concerned, I am even more determined to have #ZOFLAWLESSSKIN. MY NEW SKIN IS SO SOFT AND HYDRATED, CAN’T WAIT FOR THE COMPLETE TRANSFORMATION.

It is DAY 8 already of my #CONTROLLEDDEPTHPEEL UPDATE. So as you can see by my photo I am still oozing and crusting on the areas we went to the IRD. So my forehead, areas on my cheeks, the middle of my lip and chin are all oozy and crusty. These areas either had pigmentation or actinic keratosis. They also happen to be the same areas that I was extremely oily. The areas that have healed completely are stunning and smooth. #ZOAWESOME #ZOEXCITED

Day 9 Of my #CONTROLLEDDEPTHPEEL UPDATE. Skin is feeling great. Still oozing slightly in some areas but already much much better. Skin is still dry and flaking in some areas but really bearable and I’m just keeping up with my Surfatrol and hydration to keep my skin moist

Day 10 of #CONTROLLEDDEPTHPEEL UPDATE. As you can see most of the oozing has stopped and the skin is looking much better. I still have a few days left of complete rejuvenation. And then time to stabilise my skin. Can’t wait to start back on my ZO Fundamental Products.

The difference from day 9 to 10 is remarkable

Day 11 of my #CONTROLLEDDEPTHPEEL UPDATE. My skin is feeling amazing. The crusting has stopped and is healing nicely and in areas is now starting to flake. I am absolutely totally #ZOINLOVE with my skin already. I would #ZO DO THIS AGAIN

UPDATE ON MY #CONTROLLEDDEPTHPEEL – DAY 16. My skin is healing nicely. It’s exactly 2 weeks today since I did my treatment. My skin is very pink, for our ZO stockists, this is partly due to the peel as well as the fact that I am back on the prep to stabilise my skin, which is page 11 of your protocol guide (avoiding the forehead ). So I will be pink for a while still. Best results of the treatment will be between 6 and 12 weeks post procedure, for now check out my pigment, fine lines and texture. I’m #ZOINLOVE
