I have mentioned this luxurious French brand before – Nuxe – the sublime Huile Prodigieuse is one of my favourite body and hair oils.
But recently I was sent some products to try from the Nuxuriance® Gold Range, aimed at 60+ skin.
It’s not common to have a skincare range dedicated to this particular demographic, so I was really happy to receive the Nutri-Revitalising Serum, Radiance Eye Balm as well as the Nutri-Fortifying Oil-Cream from the range.
Nuxuriance® Gold Nutri-Revitalising Serum
Packed with natural ingredients that include saffron, Bougainvillea Bi-floral Cells® and Porcelain Rose Oléactif® in addition to hyaluronic acid, this formula is light, yet rich, gliding on the skin smoothly and giving a sense of comfort.
My skin is pretty balanced, I don’t suffer from dryness, except in the harsh winter months, but I really enjoyed using this serum after a thorough cleanse, which does make skin feel tight.
It gives you a lovely luminous complexion and is very luxurious with its delightful sandalwood and white flowers fragrance.
You can use it in the morning and/or evening – it’s actually great under makeup.

Nuxuriance® Gold Nutri-Fortifying Oil-Cream
This is a super-rich cream that is particularly good for dry skin that has become weakened by age. It contains Saffron and Bougainvillea Bi-Floral Cells®, porcelain rose Oléoactif®, natural Nutri-Reconstituting Complex (jiogulan and cistus flower), macadamia oil, all of which help skin become stronger and firmer.
This was a tad too rich for my skin, so I asked an 85year old friend to test it for me. The verdict? Really comforting and wonderful to use on her very dry, thin skin and she absolutely loved the scent (Sandalwood and white flowers – so feminine!) Another plus is that a little goes a long way, and there’s a whopping 50 ml in the jar.
Apply in the morning to the face, neck and décolleté after the Nutri-Revitalising Serum.

Nuxuriance® Gold Radiance Eye Balm
If you love the ritual of patting on a beautiful eye cream around your eyes, look no further – this Gold Radiance eye balm is as soft as velvet and melts into the skin – it has a really wonderful texture. Still combining the powerful ingredients of Saffron and Bougainvillea Bi-floral Cells® with Porcelain Rose Oléactif® as well as a naturally nourishing, replenishing complex, it works wonders on mature skin. And what I love most is that it’s infused with golden micro-reflectors which really make the eye area look so radiant and pretty.
Apply in the morning and/or evening to the eye contour area – remember to pat, not smear.

Final thought
Although this particular range is dedicated to the more mature skin, it doesn’t mean you can’t try any of the other product ranges, which are absolutely gorgeous.
The Crème Fraîche de beauté masque is a definite treat for dry skin. It contains some lovely plant milks as well as hyaluronic acid – I just pop it on my face and neck, make a cup of tea and let it sit whilst I do some reading. It’s soothing and soft and I recommend it as ME therapy (R370.00 for 50ml).
