Whenever I think of Sothys skincare, I envision their luxurious and calming professional treatments, which I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing over the years. Their home skincare products are equally impressive, and I’ve previously reviewed their Renovative Micro-Capsules Serum With 20% Pure Vitamin C & Renovative Night Cream here.
Sothys offer a wide range of skincare lines targeting various concerns, and I was particularly excited to try their NEW Pigmentation Line. This line is designed to reveal a flawless, luminous complexion powered by key ingredients such as stabilised vitamin C, niacinamide, and Sothys’ patented white nettle extract. This pigmentation management regimen takes a clinical approach to reducing the appearance of existing dark spots and preventing new ones from forming.
Sothys Illuminating Facial Cleanser (R855, 125ml)
This gel-cream cleanser transforms into a soft, generous lather, leaving your skin clean and hydrated while helping to fade pigmentary imperfections. It contains stabilised vitamin C, encapsulated ferulic acid, white nettle extract, and citric acid. I found it gentle on my skin, and it didn’t irritate my eyes.

Sothys Illuminating Essence (R895, 200ml)
This light, milky essence merges with the skin to treat pigment spots, hydrate, and prep the skin, enhancing the performance of subsequent products. It features stabilised vitamin C, encapsulated ferulic acid, white nettle extract, niacinamide, prickly pear oligosaccharides, and a hydra-plumping complex derived from urea. I always apply a thermal mist before using essences or serums to ensure my skin is slightly damp. This essence absorbs beautifully, prepping my skin for the next step.

Sothys Flawless Complexion Serum (R1395, 30ml)
The star of the line, this serum combines nine active ingredients from science and nature to address dark spots. Clinically proven to reduce pigment spots in one month, it includes stabilised vitamin C, encapsulated ferulic acid, white nettle extract, red algae, azelaic acid derivative, citric acid, niacinamide, N-acetylglucosamine, and iris extract. Light and easily absorbed, a little goes a long way. I noticed my dark spots lightening over a few weeks and also enjoyed using it on my hands before applying hand moisturiser.

Sothys Flawless Complexion Cream (R1195, 50ml)
This light, second-skin effect cream provides a dual response for dark spots and youth, reducing them visibly month after month. Formulated with stabilised vitamin C, encapsulated ferulic acid, white nettle extract, red algae, azelaic acid derivative, niacinamide, and a hydra-plumping complex, it offers lasting hydration. I found that using a small amount provided perfect hydration without making my skin oily.

Sothys Illuminating Mask (R795, 50ml)
Used once a week, this mask leaves the skin radiant and smooth. It contains kaolin emulsion, bisabolol, and vitamin C, and can also be used as a hand mask. After leaving it on for 15 minutes and rinsing, my skin felt beautifully refreshed.

Sothys Protective Youth Fluid SPF50 (R795, 50ml)
This SPF provides broad-spectrum UVA-UVB protection and includes white nettle extract to protect against photo-ageing. While the texture is lovely, it doesn’t leave a white cast and it’s a great SPF, I experienced some pilling when applying foundation or BB cream over it. It may work better for others or with a different application method. Apply every morning to the face, neck, décolletage, and hands after your skincare cream, reapplying throughout the day if exposed to the sun.

Overall, the Sothys Pigmentation Management Line was a pleasure to use, with a subtle fresh scent. I used the products morning and night (excluding the SPF at night) for a few months, finding them to be a worthwhile investment due to their size and longevity.
