About the Founder:
Komona Govender
Komona Govender brings 15 years of experience in the medical industry to AryaVedic. She began her journey by studying Somatology, earning an ITEC Diploma, and later joined Steiner cruise liners in 2009. Upon returning to South Africa, Komona developed a passion for education and training within the beauty industry, leading her to complete a lecturing qualification in 2010. Over the years, she held various roles with premium aesthetic skincare brands, including Key Accounts Manager and National Training Manager.
In 2019, Komona joined a dermatology and aesthetic clinic as an aesthetician, where she worked for five years. During this period, she noticed a growing demand for a holistic approach to treating various skin and health conditions. This realisation led her to explore alternatives, ultimately discovering the profound science of Ayurveda.
After studying at a prominent Ayurvedic centre in Kerala, India, Komona opened AryaVedic in March 2023, transforming it into a sought-after Ayurvedic wellness space.
