The congress is hosted by the Dermatology Society of South Africa (DSSA) and the South African Society for Dermatologic Surgery (SASDS) in association with the Vitiligo Society (VSSA), South African Mohs Group and the African Woman’s Dermatologic Society (AWDS) of South Africa.
We welcome back all our friends and colleagues after two years of hibernation to the awakening of the combined DSSA and SASDS dermatology congress in Tshwane at the CSIR.
The 6th Combined Dermatology Congress of South Africa 2022 will be taking an innovative step into the future of dermatology: local and international speakers will guide us on the latest perspectives on disease pathogenesis and management and on procedural dermatology.
With our platinum sponsor, Galderma and our gold sponsor Eucerin – Beiersdorf exciting evening events including a welcome cocktail function on Friday 26 August and a thrilling new gala dinner on Saturday 27 August have been arranged free of charge for all delegates. This will give us all the much needed time to rekindle our friendships within the whole dermatology family and with all our partners in the pharmaceutical trade who have given incredible support to us all over the past two years.
Much focus will be on our local South African dermatology research leaders and on our dermatology registrars. There will be a dermatopathology pre-congress workshop, led by the formidable Professor Jordaan on Friday 26 August.
The SASDS pre-congress workshop on Friday 26 August is planned to be a Basic Life Support Course with certification. Ensuring the best safety and life support during procedures is essential for all dermatologists.
Greater knowledge will improve the quality of our dermatology practices and ultimately be of benefit to both doctor and patient. Let us grow wiser with each new opportunity to learn.
