If you are plagued by pigmentation (welcome to South Africa…), then you’ll surely be interested in Diego dalla Palma Professional range of Resurface2 Bright C products, which is a heavy-hitter in terms of melanin production, fighting free radicals, and producing a radiant, even complexion.
It’s got the right stuff
How does it achieve this, you ask? The three main ingredients used in this range are key to ensuring strictly proven effectiveness:
- Stabilised vitamin C: If you are a serious skincare lover, you will know by now that stabilised vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that is effective in reducing photo-ageing signs such as wrinkles, dark spots, and dullness.
- ProWHITE+: This is an antioxidant complex formulated with phenylethyl resorcinol and sclareolide, with powerful brightening and anti-dark-spot properties. Great for age-related pigmentation and sunspots, hormonal or pregnancy-related hyperpigmentation, post-acne blemishes, and dark spots caused by aggressive treatments.
- DetoxLIGHT: This has a specific action targeted at orange spots caused by a build-up of lipofuscin (age pigments).
The Diego dalla Palma Professional Resurface2 Bright C range
I was fortunate enough to test the entire product range. Here’s a brief rundown:
- Pure Glow Elixir (R1,495 for 30 ml): This is a lovely serum to use after cleansing. It has a light, liquid gel texture and absorbs beautifully. It has a high concentration of vitamin C, so it could cause some tingling, but I experienced no discomfort.
- Anti-Dark Spot Illuminating Anti-Age Cream (R1,395 for 50 ml): This gel-like, cream product prevents, reduces, and corrects lines and dark spots. It really helps to hydrate the skin, leaving you with a smooth, glowing finish. Use it in the morning and evening after applying the serum.
- Anti-Dark Spot Illuminating Peel-Off Mask (R750 for 40 ml): This product can be used once or twice a week, depending on your level of pigmentation. It’s a shock-treatment for localised spots – simply use a thin layer on cleansed skin. I loved how my skin felt after the mask peeled off: really fresh and soft. You could also use it on the backs of hands to address age spots.
- Supreme Uniforming Illuminating Cream SPF 50 (R1,395 for 50 ml): This colour-correcting, SPF 50, fluid formula has the potential to be a firm favourite. Enjoying all the benefits of the active ingredients, it also gives my skin the luminosity I want on a make-up-free day. It’s effective on dark spots and pigmentation while also giving a lovely, even finish to the skin. Just perfect!
- Vitamin C Essence Serum 7% (R1,175 for 75 ml): I do love a good spritz on the skin, depending on the weather, as well as what I’m actually spraying on my face! This high-concentration stabilised vitamin C gives me the freshness and dewiness I want, but it’s also packed with a powerful antioxidant serum. And the dispenser is so good: you get an even spray, protecting you from UV, infrared rays, and pollution. Use it right after your serum or cream, or even throughout the day, as needed.
To sum it up in just a few words
Apart from the luxurious feel of these products, it’s the science behind them that makes them so desirable. It’s like having your cake (or tiramisu), and eating it too! Highly recommended.
