I am a qualified and registered Specialist Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with consulting rooms and operating privileges at Life Vincent Pallotti Hospital in Pinelands and Netcare Blaauwberg Hospital in Sunningdale, Cape Town.
My specific fields of interest are cosmetic surgery of the breast and face, including anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers, breast reconstruction after breast cancer, ear reconstruction (microtia) and reconstruction for skin cancer.
I underwent medical and surgical training at the University of Stellenbosch Medical School and the University of Cape Town Medical School in Cape Town.
After completing my specialist medical and surgical studies and training, I completed a fellowship in Paris, France to obtain in-depth experience and training in specialised cosmetic surgery techniques and to learn the unique skill of reconstructing deformities of the outer ear by utilising rib cartilage, from Dr Francois Firmin, a world leader in this area. I visited various medical institutions in England, Europe and the United States of America in an effort to learn more about professional patient care and practice management before committing to private practice in July 2001.
In the interest of my patients and personal self-development, I regularly attend international conferences, clinical training sessions and academic meetings. I have presented papers at local and international congresses, and keep abreast of the newest proven techniques and skills, applying these in my practice to the benefit of my patients.
I am respected and acknowledged for my attention to detail and my absolute uncompromising commitment to patient care. I approach my patients with compassion and understanding. My reputation for excellence is based on my personal availability, my hands-on approach, my sensitivity and support of my patients both before and after surgery.
I am supported by an outstanding patient care team of nurses, therapists and admin staff, who are committed to offering excellent individualised attention to my patients. I only use the services of registered specialist anaesthesiologists, who are experienced with regards to plastic and reconstructive surgery and who share my ethos and commitment to patient care.

Elsabe Bosman – Wound Care Nurse
After the administrative work is done and the surgery has been performed, Elsabe will take care of you to assist with dressing changes and removal of sutures. For patients with chronic wounds, Elsabe will assist and support. If you’re in need of a hug after surgery, she will share those too.
Lynda Parish – Reception Manager
Lynda is our practice “hostess” and will make your experience with us one to remember. With professionalism, caring and attention to detail she will take care of all your administrative needs and requirements.
Amori Struwig – Practice Manager and Patient Liaison
By far the most experienced member of the team, Amori has led the administrative side of the practice for the last fourteen years, building it into a well-oiled machine that ensures that our patient experience is exceptional and hassle-free. As patient liaison, she makes every patient part of the practice family and takes care of all the little things that will make your journey with us enjoyable and stress-free.
