About the doctor
Dr Heather Blaylock started her medical journey at the University of Cape Town in 1990. Following two years of BSc Nursing and a year travelling abroad, she moved to The University of The Witwatersrand and completed a MBBCh Degree, graduating in 1998. She is registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa, and the General Medical Council in the United Kingdom.
Her clinical experience post graduation includes working in emergency units, community health clinics, psychiatry and as the assistant for a cardio-thoracic surgical team in private practice where she harvested the veins for coronary bypass surgery.
She is a passionate believer in healthy and active living and ageing gracefully, and has established an aesthetic integrative medical practice where she implements her passion on a daily basis. Every patient is seen as a unique individual, with treatments tailored to optimise their inner and outer wellness. Dr Blaylock regularly participates in conferences and workshops to maintain and expand her skills and knowledge base, in line with international standards, thereby ensuring the best potential patient care for all her clients.
Dr Blaylock is candid in her stance towards celebrating women and embracing their sexuality with confidence. She has a special interest in female rejuvenation treatments where she believes women can be empowered in all aspects of life.
She is a member of the Aesthetic and Anti-Ageing Medicine Society of South Africa, the South African Sexual Health Association and the European Society of Sexual Medicine.
