Not everyone is partial to Turkish Delight, but in my view, any skincare lover will be enticed by this particular Turkish offering: The Purest Solutions Turkish Glow treatment.
But firstly, let’s talk about the brand itself. The Purest Solutions is a skincare brand from Turkey that is now available in South Africa, and it ticks all the boxes when it comes to clean beauty. As its name suggests, the range focuses on solutions for common skin concerns such as blemishes, uneven skin tone, dryness, oiliness, ageing and sensitivity. Sun protection products are also available.
I visited the lovely Komona Govender at her practice, AryaVedic, in Johannesburg.
AryaVedic offers a unique blend of aesthetic and holistic treatments, making it a welcoming space for those looking to care for both their skin and overall well-being.
Komona described the Turkish Glow treatment as the perfect “red carpet facial” as there is no downtime. The treatment focuses on deep exfoliation and intense hydration, leaving the skin looking fresh and radiant.
The Main Event
The products used during the treatment were the Purifying and Brightening Enzyme Red Powder Peeling Cleanser and the AHA & BHA Revitalising and Skin Tone Equalising Red Peeling Serum.
After cleansing my skin, the powder was mixed with water to create a paste and applied as a mask. The active acids, including azelaic and malic acid, help to smooth the skin and encourage cell renewal.
Once the mask was removed, the peeling serum was applied. I experienced a slight tingling sensation while the acids worked to even out my skin tone, while providing much-needed hydration.
The Final Curtain
After ten minutes, the solution was removed, and my skin was treated to a light layer of one of my favourite products from the range: the SPF 50+ UV Shield with Antioxidant Protection.
This anti-blemish tinted sunscreen contains ingredients such as arbutin and niacinamide and gives the skin a beautiful, healthy finish. The slight tint helps to even out skin tone while still looking natural and lightweight.
The Verdict
The Purest Solutions is a skincare brand that won’t break the bank, and the Turkish Glow treatment is similarly affordable while delivering noticeable results.
My skin looked brighter, smoother and more even afterwards, with no downtime required. If you’re looking for a treatment before a special event or simply want to give your skin a boost, this is certainly one worth considering.
