BTL Industries, a world leader in skin tightening, body contouring and fat removal, introduces its new Vanquish Flex applicator for use on the thighs and saddlebags. Harnessing the first-of-its-kind Vanquish RF technology for the abdomen, the non-surgical Flex hovers over upper legs to deliver selective radio frequency energy to heat the deep tissue layer. The non-contact Flex device for regaining shapely thighs became available in select countries in North and South America earlier this year following high professional success in Europe.
“Flex offers a great treatment for upper legs that is affordable for the clinic and my clients who are enjoying fantastic results to help improve their overall body image and health,” said Giselle Villar, MD of RSVP Beauty Clinic in Vancouver, British Columbia, CAN. “Unlike other devices which would cost me royalty fees and demand excessive hours of my client’s time, Vanquish Flex is a 30-minute treatment that covers a large body area without breaking the bank,” added Dr. Villar, who is one of the first aesthetic practices with the RF technology in Vancouver.
About Vanquish Flex Technology
The noninvasive thigh slimming technology creates an electromagnetic field with energy flow control to safely target and destroy fat cells, bringing about a reduction in entire upper leg circumference, including the stubborn fat deposits of the outer thigh known as saddlebags. Vanquish Flex uses a 2-panel system without touching the patient directly for a safe and comfortable treatment. Full results are achieved in 4 to 6 weeks spaced about one week apart with continuous improvements seen over the next month or so.
“Clearly, the need for a more effective treatment for thighs is long overdue, and Flex is an outstanding, nonsurgical option,” said Jeanine Downie, M.D., a dermatologist in Montclair, N.J. “The fact that patients can expect to see an inch or more off of their thighs and notice a slightly larger thigh gap is a tremendous benefit, especially with spring break and swimsuit season just around the corner. In the U.S., BTL Flex applicator is cleared only for deep tissue heating; however, physicians are successfully using it to shape thighs.”
About Clinical Evaluation
In a recent clinical evaluation to assess the safety and efficacy of BTL Vanquish Flex applicator therapy as a noninvasive method for reducing thigh circumference, 40 subjects showed a statistically significant reduction in thigh circumference of 2.425 cm or nearly one inch after four treatments. The subjects reported no pain, discomfort or adverse effects associated with treatment. Based on these findings, European investigators concluded that BTL Vanquish Flex applicator therapy is safe, painless, and effective in reducing thigh circumference.
