The 21st Annual Aesthetic Medicine Congress of South Africa (AMCSA) returns from 31 July to 2 August 2025 at the CSIR International Convention Centre in Pretoria, marking over two decades of excellence in aesthetic education. Endorsed by the Aesthetic and Anti-aging Medicine Society of South Africa (AAMSSA), the Society of Mesotherapy ZA (SoMZA), and the Society of Mesotherapy UK (SoMUK), AMCSA 2025 promises an outstanding scientific programme that reflects both local expertise and global collaboration.
Three days of practical learning and global insight
Medical doctors can choose between beginner and advanced masterclasses in aesthetic medical skills development. Sessions cover everything from facial injectables, skin boosters, and PRP to facelifting techniques and botulinum toxin protocols. Highlights include:
- Exosomes and biostimulators with Dr Cecile Baard (Tasosol)
- Injectable regeneration with PRP and HA by Dr Gideon Alers (Novita Biotech)
- Anti-sagging protocols presented by Dr Elmie Nel (Fillmed)
- Advanced Botulinum toxin techniques by Dr Alena Saromystkaya (Acino Swiss)
- Advanced lip filler protocols by Dr Deepa Parbhoo (AQ Skin Solutions)
The congress kicks off with a full day of CPD-accredited pre-congress workshops on Thursday, 31 July. These hands-on sessions are designed for different levels of experience and roles within aesthetic clinics.
Medical aestheticians, therapists, somatologists, nurses and practice staff are catered for in a parallel pre-congress track. These sessions explore innovations in chemical peels, radiofrequency, ultrasound scanning, microneedling with exosomes, and skin needling protocols for targeted skin concerns.
