It may sound cliché, but 2023’s been a busy year. I won’t bore you with all the details, but in a nutshell, I got married and moved houses within the last two months of the final quarter (yes, I know, silly me) and let me tell you, I was stressed. Stress likes to take its toll on my poor ‘ol skin, usually with my barrier taking a knock, resulting in rough texture, breakouts and hypersensitivity during any temperature, be it hot or cold. My rosacea is also usually fiercer than ever, rearing her red ugly head whenever she feels like it.
But note how I said ‘usually’. Enter Environ’s Ultimate Overnight Glow Kit. A four-piece, travel-sized product gift box with all the products I needed to keep my skin under control throughout this busy, stressful time.

What’s in the kit?
- Environ Focus Care Youth+ Toner (60ml): This toner contains Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA), which have heaps of plusses for the skin, namely, exfoliating properties, brightening abilities, collagen boosting benefits and, to top it all off, eases the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
- Environ Focus Care Moisture+ Night Cream (25ml): This night cream also contains AHA, like the toner. Lactic and Glycolic Acid, aka the AHA dream team, help keep the texture of your skin smooth and bump-free, all while supporting the skin’s natural pH.
- Environ Focus Care Moisture+ Hydrating Serum (15ml): Are we allowed to have favourites? If so, this serum won my heart with its silky, gel-like texture that felt like a dream when applied to the skin. It absorbed sans greasy residue and left my complexion glistening as I’d just had an Environ facial. (If you know, you know)!
- Environ Focus Care Moisture+Hydrating Oil Capsules (2 capsules): Before we tuck in, please can I state that these are not for consumption. I also wish there were more of these capsules in the glow kit. I referred to them as my little ‘in case of emergencies’. I would twist the top off these hydrating oil capsules and apply it after moisturising in the evening for even extra moisture. And my skin drank it up.
My routine
For the past month, I’ve used the Environ Overnight Glow Kit in this order:
After cleansing, I would tone my skin with the Environ Focus Care Youth+ Toner using a cotton pad or two. I’d then apply the Environ Focus Care Moisture+ Hydrating Serum. Next up, I’d apply the Focus Care Moisture+ Night Cream onto my face and neck in upward strokes. I wanted to maintain the smoothness of my skin texture, so I used it each night, but this cream can be used every 2-3 days if you feel it’s too intense for your skin. The Environ Focus Care Moisture+Hydrating Oil Capsules were used the night before on two occasions where my skin desperately needed the added moisture assistance.
Confession time: I never used toner in my skincare routine. But now, I’m a convert. After a few bad experiences with past toners, I thought it was an unnecessary step in my regime, but I can safely say that the Environ Focus Care Youth+ Toner is a winner. It didn’t leave my skin feeling tight at all, just refreshed! I’ll definitely be purchasing a full-sized product soon.
Top tip: As this range contains Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA), skin sensitivity is a possibility. Wear your daily SPF 50 and try to limit your sun exposure while trialling the kit.

Try it if…
Your skin becomes stressed like mine over busy periods of time. This will also make a fabulous gift option for the skincare/beauty enthusiast in your life who hasn’t tried Environ yet (that is if you don’t want to keep it for yourself). It’s a great product intro to the brand. It’s also a must for travelling as they don’t leak one bit. These littlies take up minimal space in your toiletry bag.
Give this kit a whirl if you’re unsure about your night-time regime. It’s easy to maintain even during times of chaos.
Why I love it
My rosacea is under control, and I only experienced one flare-up, which didn’t last long at all. My hypersensitivity is non-existent. These products also make wearing foundation a seamless experience – it goes on evenly and smoothly – make-up caking is a thing of the past.
I’ve been gravitating towards the idea of a more simplified approach to skincare. My skin’s withstood thousands of products over the years and as a result, become overwhelmed with too many active ingredients. This glow kit has pushed me in the right direction – here’s looking at easy, uncomplicated routines in 2024.
